"But the LORD said to David my father, Forasmuch as it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well in that it was in thine heart:"
Nor many many others, because neither word appears in the verse. In fact, no reference to David ever appears in the same verse with the words "God" and "pleased." Those words don't appear together in any translation of the Bible. In a moment the software will generate 80 words which appear in the KJV, both original language and english and which are related to the word "God." as it is used in the KJV.
Three of the words will already be checked for you because of their spelling similarity. None of the original language words are checked. You can see all words which appear in the text of the Bible and which may be available to aid your study of the topic.
2) Go through the list of and check any words you feel are related to your search. The list which appears are all of the original language words from which the indicated word was translated and all the other english words into which any of those original language words were also translated in the King James Version.
Check words such as "lord's" "mighty" "strength" "might" "Jehovah" "godward" and others as it pertains to your search. You can check and uncheck words. You can check original language words also.
3) When you have completed your selection, click "Update Word List"This tells the software which words you want included in the search.
4) Repeat steps 1 2 and 3 with the word "pleased" in "Word List B"Do this for both "Word List A" and "Word List B" Leave "Word List C" "ignore this list completely" marked.
Marking "none of the checked words" lets you find references which do not include any of the words which are marked for that word list. Only words that you check or leave checked are included in the search. The others are ignored.
For our example we want both clouds of word to be present in the same verse. So we select "single verse" We could look for constellations of clouds of words within whole paragraphs too.
7) Click "Show all references" A new window will appear, leaving your original search window undisturbed. The new window will contain every reference in the KJV in the scope you selected (verse or whole paragraph) which contains the words which were checked.
This window will contain a short line of the text relevant to the search. This is the verse or first line of the paragraph which triggered the software's recognition of the reference as relevant to the search.
In the reader, you will be able to select which translation from which to read the references.
It opens in a new window leaving your references window undisturbed so that you can open multiple reader pages to compare multiple selections or the text of multiple translations side by side as they relate to your search criteria.
The reader page highlights checked words from the original search and includes Strong's designations for original language words from which the english words in the KJV were translated. Both the highlighting and Strong's numbers can be switched on and off with their respective buttons.
